Senior Architect

Hamilton Architects is looking for a senior architect to join its Belfast office with at least 15 years’ post-ARB job-running experience. The ideal candidate will have effective management and team leadership skills along with a strong design portfolio, demonstrating experience in delivering projects larger than £10m.

The position requires a strong designer who can also successfully coordinate and engage in design team interaction, communicate design ideas to a range of audiences and resolve construction challenges and disputes. The role will involve taking projects through to completion, so contract administration experience is essential.

Project Architect

Hamilton Architects is looking for a project architect / senior architect to join its Belfast office with at least 5 years’ post-ARB job-running experience.

Clerk of Works position at St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen

Construction work has commenced at this £14m school project in South Down.

We are seeking applications from self-employed Clerks of Works with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to fulfill a monitoring and reporting role. This Clerk of Works service shall include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

  • Arranging for any special inspections, component reviews, or tests necessary to ensure that proper and adequate standards of construction are maintained and that all works are constructed in accordance with the contract documents.

  • The issue of a weekly report identifying progress against the agreed construction programme, resources engaged on site, a note of recorded defects, information required, general trends, observations, and recommendations for improvement.

An immediate start is required and will continue for the duration of the two-year construction programme to ensure full compliance with the Works Information.

Inspections will be of half day duration twice a week, increasing to three visits per week in the two months before the project completion and handover.
