Hamilton Architects are delighted to continue our ongoing collaboration with Ulster University’s Architectural Technology & Management (ATM) programme through the Hamilton Architects Bursary Awards.
For a number of years, we have been proud to support emerging talent within the architectural technology profession by recognising the exceptional work of students through this annual award scheme. Each year, a selection of student projects are shortlisted and presented to the Hamilton Architects team, with two students receiving bursary awards in recognition of their creativity, technical understanding, and commitment to design excellence.
For 2026, we are pleased to announce that the awards were presented to Ellie Bree Butler and Jo-Jo Andrews, whose proposals for a new Kilronan Primary School impressed Hamilton Architects through their thoughtful and considered responses to the brief.
Both students demonstrated a strong understanding of educational design, sustainability, and the importance of creating spaces that support the wellbeing of building users. Their projects showcased a high level of technical ability and a considered approach to developing architectural solutions.
We were extremely impressed by the quality of all submissions and would like to congratulate Ellie Bree and Jo-Jo on their achievements, while also recognising the dedication and creativity demonstrated by all students who took part.
The students were presented with their awards during the Ulster University end-of-year show event on Wednesday 24th June, celebrating the achievements of the next generation of architectural technology professionals.
