Paul Millar Awarded MBE for Services to Architecture and the Arts in Northern Ireland

Hamilton Architects is immensely proud to celebrate the award of an MBE to Paul Millar, former Partner at Hamilton Architects, in recognition of his exceptional contribution to architecture and the arts in Northern Ireland.

Announced as part of His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List 2026, Paul is one of six members of the Royal Institute of British Architects recognised for services to architecture. The honour reflects a distinguished career spanning more than 45 years, during which he has made a significant impact through architectural design, heritage conservation, sustainability and the creation of places that enrich communities.

Alongside his professional achievements, Paul has been a passionate supporter of the arts, championing creativity and emerging talent through Hamilton Architects’ longstanding support of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts Annual Exhibition, including sponsorship of the Sculpture Award.

Paul’s MBE is a fitting recognition of a remarkable career dedicated to architecture, conservation and the arts.
