Woodvale Construction Ltd has been appointed to deliver Hamilton Architects’ design for the new Mary Queen of Peace Primary School.
The project will bring together two local primary schools; St Mary’s of Cargan and Glenravel Primary School, Martinstown; into a new stand-alone nine-classroom facility on a greenfield site.
The development will provide a modern, purpose-built primary school including a multi-purpose hall, full production kitchen, staff accommodation and a dedicated resource area, supporting 250 pupils and staff.
Externally, the scheme will incorporate a mix of hard and soft play areas, secure storage for play equipment, 29 parking spaces for staff and visitors, and a designated drop-off area to ensure safe and efficient access to the site.
The bespoke architectural design responds to the surrounding rural landscape, with a distinctive barn-style multi-purpose hall and classroom blocks featuring gently pitched roofs inspired by the area’s traditional vernacular.
Construction is scheduled to commence in March 2026, with completion anticipated in summer 2027.
