ATU Students Visit Holy Trinity College Site

Hamilton Architects were pleased to welcome 25 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology and Construction Management students from Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal, along with two of their lecturers, to the site of the new Holy Trinity College, Cookstown last Wednesday.

Mark Priestley, Associate at Hamilton Architects, delivered a presentation on the project’s design and contract administration before leading the students on a guided tour of the site and the building.

The group were impressed by the scale and ambition of the scheme, with organiser Anna Meehan highlighting the school’s potential to “transform the lives of so many children and their families.”

She added: “Having access to such a large, active site—along with an explanation of every aspect of the project from concept through to execution—is formative. It was also inspiring to see how the construction industry can take a student anywhere and in a variety of directions.”

Hamilton Architects are leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the 16,000m² school for 1,300 pupils, with Felix O’Hare & Co. Ltd as the main contractor.

We wish all the students the very best as they continue their studies.
