Hamilton’s expertise supports UU students with their designs on success

Partner Graeme Ogle and RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant Francis Quinn represented Hamilton Architects at the recent Ulster University Belfast School of Architecture Rapid Industry Feed-Forward event.

Graeme and Francis were among a number of industry professionals who attended RIFF to share their expertise with final year BSc Architectural Technology students.

Disciplines represented included architecture, fire safety, mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, and façade design, alongside teaching professionals from the Belfast campus.

Graeme said: “The students are developing their expertise in RIBA Stage 4 type drawings, and Francis and I were able to lend our experience and advice to help them in that process.

“There were lots of interesting one-to-one conversations on all aspects of residential and tall building design at the school’s Technical Design Studio. It was a dynamic event which enabled student and professional to explore options and solutions.”

Dr Saul Golden, Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Spatial Design, thanked all the built environment professionals for making the York Street event such a success.

The practice enjoys a close relationship with UU and we recently awarded Hamilton Architects Bursary Awards to two architecture students and two architectural technology undergraduates.
