Hamilton Architects are finalists in the all-island Building & Architect of the Year Awards 2024 with our entry in the Educational category, Erne Campus of South West College.
BAYA provides a platform for architects and their buildings where the rich variety of architecture encompassing all main building types can be appraised. The judging panel is made up of respected national and international architects.
Winners of some 20 categories, also including Commercial, Office, Health, Tourism and Conservation, will be announced on 12th April at a gala awards ceremony at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin.
The already multi-award winning Erne Campus, Enniskillen, is a state-of-the-art educational resource with Passive House Premium status and is one of the UN’s 26 buildings worldwide with High Performance status.
The old campus, on another town centre site, had an extremely poor energy rating and the decision to build a new campus overlooking the River Erne presented an opportunity to create a landmark building while advancing the college’s ambitions for energy efficiency.
