A brand new Gaelscoil in Killyclogher, Omagh, is ready for the autumn term! Hamilton Architects designed the £3.8m project, a seven-classroom primary school with a single nursery unit.

The students and staff of Gaelscoil na gCrann had been operating out of mobile classrooms located in the grounds of St Mary’s GAA, Killyclogher. The new, single storey school is located on a greenfield site near the previous location and includes a parent and bus set down area, grass and hard play areas.

At the cutting of the first sod in 2019, Derek Baker, Permanent Secretary with the Department of Education said: “I have no doubt that it will create many positive outcomes for the pupils and teachers and indeed the wider school community.

“Investment in our school’s infrastructure is vital if we are to continue to provide a high-quality education for our children and young people. I wish the pupils, staff and school management every success as they embark on this new chapter.”
